PCGS defines it was three leaves being clear and distinct, earhole must be present, and a distinct hairline from the top of the forehead to the back of the neck. I agree it is a lovely coin but that flat spot where the ear would be keeps it from a FH in my opinion
I'll work on that in the next few days. It's not labeled as a FH but looking at my 1930 that was labeled as a FH, I felt like this one was a little stronger. Believe it or not, the ear isn't visible, but the hole to the ear is there, although it might be a light hole, it is there. The coin is a AU58 in an old ANACS holder, but I was curious when I send it to NGC if it will come back as a FH or not. I believe it's graded accurately but want it in a new holder to see the entire coin.
