1929 mercury dime. Circulation damage or mint error on last 9 ?

    The dime is also rotated on the reverse about 5° clockwise. Not sure what grade it is but I got it for $2 at the swapmeet. The last two pictures show the rotated reverse.     Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that a rotation up to 15 degrees is acceptable by Mint standards. Dealers don't place much emphasis on any rotation less than 90 degrees.

    It looks like the "9" is PMD.

    PMD, maybe even a coin rolling machine damaged it.

    Sorry but the 9 is damaged and the rotation is within Mint tolerance. You over paid by about 75 cents.
