I have 2 1921 Morgan Dollars that I am trying to find the mint marks on, could anyone tell me the size of the mint marks? I am using a microscope and can just barely see the outlines of a tiny D on one and a C on the other, but those could just be scratches. Could anyone tell me if the mint mark is always in the same place, or has it just been rubbed off from wear?

The mint mark is always located on the reverse below the bow on the wreath. A 1921 may have no mint mark (indicating Philadelphia), a "D" for Denver, or a "S" for San Francisco. I suppose it's possible that it could wear off...but if that was the case the coin would be severely worn. If you don't see a mint mark at that location, the coin was minted in Philadelphia.

There is a S and a D. It is on the reverse and below the Eagle.
The D on a 21 is very small.

Buy a Red Book. It will show lots of that info for you.

    Okay, thanks for the replies.

Also, does anybody know about what these coins would be worth?

15 to 100k depending on date, mint mark and condition.
That Red Book I mentioned will help with that or you can post a picture.
