Last year I listed this 1915 S on ebay. Received a msg from another seller saying it looked like a chinese replica. Its a 2 feathers, no intial and some wear. So, I pulled the listing. Should I have it graded or just leave it in the drawer? Tell me what you guys think.

It doesn't look right to me. The reverse doesn't look right at all, the font on the five cents doesn't look legit to me.

You should take it to a trusted dealer and have it authenticated. It looks like a nice condition buffalo, but then again something seems out of place with it, I can't quite put my finger on it.

Where did you get this coin? From the pictures you have posted this coin looks very suspicious at best, but I would consult a dealer and get his feelings on it before I would relist it, if it turns out to be fake, i would recommend either A) keeping it as part of a fakes collection clearly marked as a reference tool, or B) destroying it outright.

Looks Suspect. Keep it off to the side as a "Special Example."......someday, when placed next to a known authentic the truth will be revealed.

The Buffalo is suspect? While difficult to determine authenticity by photo, a couple of things look wrong. The obverse has flat ribbon with detail lacking on the Indian, also the rim appears to an applied rim?... I could be wrong :)

Thanx all. This coin was in a bag with some other coins I picked up from an estates sale. I'll just throw it back in the drawer or use it as a reference for now.

Something doesnt look right,it almost looks "too" perfect of a strike.and the color of the metal looks light. In hand it may differ.but from the photos,it just seems odd.

I was thinking that myself. It's too pristine for a buffalo that old to not have been slabbed by 1 of the top 3 TPGs.

Thanks Ozark, could see the RPM with the naked eye. As far as the 1915S, I think I'll just keep it for a little while.

You know once a coin is suspected of being a fake it seems to be found guilty before being proven fake. I don't think it is correct to compare a 1915-S to a 1936-S. There are too many subtle differences in the dies to do that. Not that I could pick them out, though. It just doesn't seem logical. Even a 1913 compared to a 1915-S doesn't seem right. Doesn't anyone have
    a 1915-S to compare with JAMMED's 1915-S?
