I bought this coin as bullion and got lucky. I'm curious about the condition and value. I sold it on eBay already. It isn't gold toned it's silver. I was having a problem with my camera. If someone could give me a rough idea on value and condition I'd appreciate it. Thanks Sorry I just realized I posted in the wrong forum. I can't figure out how to move it.
The value in 1884-S's really start in the AU range. I have a PCGS 55 or 53 in my set that I paid about 100 for. Your image doesn't tell me enough to grade it. What did you think it was grade wise.
To me it looks better than XF but not even close to uncirculated. I'm very happy I got $87 for it. I don't want the buyer to be disappointed. They are a coin dealer.
In XF, it's only worth about $50. The 84-S was circulated in large numbers, so in mint state they are very scarce and can command 4-figure prices in the lowest MS grades, 5-figure prices in MS63/64 and 6-figure prices for PQ specimens. Chris
Thanks I appreciate it. I'm happy getting $33-$36 for my coins. This made my day, but I hope the buyer isn't disappointed.
