    79 dollars sounds like Franklin Mint original retail. It's extremely unlikely they'll ever go for that again. Here's someone selling them on eBay for $10.95 each; it does look like he's getting buyers.

    Edit: ah, that very listing quotes the $79 price. If you're thinking to buy one of these on eBay and then flip it at a profit, I think you'll be disappointed.

    It's worth what the buyer is willing to pay. I suspect no more than $10. The price you quoted sounds like the original manufacturers suggested retail price when it was first introduced into the marketplace.
