    Hi All,
Going thru my collection a lot more closely now that I learned of your errors forum. I have an 1865
2 cent piece that I was told has a die break just to the upper left side of the "A" in AMERICA and
between the "E and R" of the same word. Was wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about
this. I will send a pic The actual color of the coin is brown. where was it minted ? Possible value ?
I am still on quite the learning curve so any info would be great. Thanks..........Patt01

Yep - looks like a die crack to me, but these are common and do not add a premium in my opinion. Die cracks are just cool to me.

Agree with Mark H, actually die breaks are seen frequently in the two cent series. Search for the author Kevin Flynn, he as two excellent books (Getting Your Two Cents Worth, and The Authoritative Reference on Two Cents Coins) on the two cent series.

The V Nickel series also has them and so do shield nickels.
