    Also is it gold?

    I did a quick search in my Redbook for you and after reading what they have to say I would have to believe that your token is a modern replica and is probably not worth very much if anything. I would have it tested to see if it is real gold but I wouldn't bet on it.

    No, it isn't gold! No it isn't real money. Yes, it is a modern reproduction that isn't worth much. They're everywhere!

    It also doesn't say dollar, which is a good indicator.

    Say I have a similar items but it is in a jewlers ring- I had several pieces that I thought were genuine and three of the four were brass copies- but this one tested to be gold and the ring as well so check it to see if it is gold anyway. I am certainly not an expert but I seem to remember reading that these were manufactured for sale as jewelry as early as the 1870's but are not genuine coins. Check with an expert however.
