So I purchased a few more coins over the weekend for my Whitman 20th Century Small Type coin book, and was wondering how everyone feels about this one.
I know it has some verdigris (spelling?) on it. But the details sure look nice.
So, what is a details grade and fair price for this coin? I will tell you what I paid after some responses(unless I'm too embarrased).

Also, can anyone tell from the pictures, which variety it is? These are the auction pictures.

I paid $10 for this one (1808). Its pretty rough! Again, auction pictures:

I like the amount of Details remaining on the Bust of the 1808 Half Cent, The verdigris and the pitted appearance of being in the ground would deter me from buying it. I feel it is worth $10 though.
The 1834 looks like about a $50 value in my opinion. Note that the picture quality is considerably poor and my estimate is for if it is problem free.

wow nice finds. the 1808 looks a little on the bad side...but the 1834 looks great. Probably at least $30.

Thanks Guys! Sometimes I get a little over zealous and make very impulsive decisions on coins. I know that is a risky thing to do.
I paid $40 for the 1834, so it sounds like I am in the right price range. Thanks again for the input.

theyre alright for the price. half cents never seem to get too expensive besides the liberty caps. the classic head does have nice details. ive always noticed that a classic head half cent seems to have more details then the large cent while the draped bust half cent is always lacking details compared to the large cent. ive looked at half cents alot but could never bring myself to buy alot of them.

Well I just checked the tracking number on the 1834 half cent, and it says it is out for delivery in Georgia. The bad news is, I live in Michigan!
So I really hope the seller just put in the wrong tracking number. I have been having terrible luck lately with my package deliveries, geez.
