the best way that i can explain this coin is that when the coin is turned over, the reverse is the opposite direction of what a normal draped bust cent would be. i checked it against the reverses of some other draped bust cents and this coin is the opposite on the reverse. any opinions on what this coin might be worth?
Do you mean a rotated die? As in, instead of upside down it should be right side up? If so, can you take a picture holding it up to a mirror?
Is a 180 degree rotated die not uncommon on early coins seemingly especially early copper my 1798 is rotated about 20% they really become noticeable when their in a slab too
i it is the opposite of a normal reverse, about 170-175 degrees opposite. i only have a webcam, so the photos would not be clear by using a mirror to take photos of the coin.
1807 S-276 can be found with die rotations all the way around the clock, but it USUALLY comes with the reverse rotated about 172 degrees. And it just so happens that this is an S-276.
