A few years ago there was a thread about these but I can’t locate it. These are gaming tokens and the name KETTLE is on the obverse just to the right of the date. I just purchased this in early May. It’s worn and Kettle is almost missing. It was common for the KETTLE name to be removed a as these are very close to a $5.00 gold coin. They are made of brass with 13 stars on both sides. A unique piece of history. Despite the wear I purchased this because of the low price, it’s history and I wanted one. Besides, it’s 218 years old.

Very nice, here's mine! I have another one somewhere around here but I haven't been able to locate it, so I guess it's officially lost. The interesting about these is there's plenty of fake Kettle Tokens as well!
