What's there to say? This is one of the classic comms with a clear art deco style eagle, which I absolutely love. The coin also has a little bit of character with some reddish hues of toning on the obverse and reverse (a little more on the reverse), but still plenty of nice original surface and luster underneath. We love character, don't we? Sure, blast white is sexy, but a little character never hurt

Oh yeah... That eagle could certainly be a hood ornament on a grand large sedan from the 1930's. Very cool.

Awesome coin(s). IMO the best series to collect. Would you rather have a hundred of the same (fill in the series) with different dates and MM's or a hundred coins with different designs?

Interesting perspective. I love holding a coin in my hand and imagining how it might have been used during its history. However, I'm not a total purist and I do have coins that did not circulate. I held onto a few of the commemoratives that I had and one of my patterns is in circulated condition.

I am just waiting for one in a soapbox slab. The charter Oak is a fun collecting series.

Just like everything else, it is being in the right place at the right time.
