If you know people from there then you probably know some of my relatives, some still live in the same house. My dad is from here, California. I've never been over there but I will someday.

Hagop, Half of my latest message to you seems to have gone missing when I emailed it. I won't worry about that part, the most important section is the one I hope will show up when you open it. Me and computers... not very compatible most of the time... jeankay
Hi Hagop, I am 'jeankay' on the CoinTalk forum. ('jeankay' is my given and middle name in one word). Your posts are very interesting and in a small way, disturbing. There are many coin dealers in U.S.A. that are also unscrupulous with their customers. I have been collecting coins a little over one year now, and am lucky to have found very nice collectors on this forum to help me with my questions and teach me about coin collecting. One important lesson they have taught me is, do research on a coin before you actually buy one. Everyone here would agree that you should buy reference books about the type of coins you are collecting, but you might not have access to such things. So, I will say, in your case, research the coins on the internet to help you make an informed decision as to whether or not a coin is worth a price being asked. Are you allowed to receive world coins by postal means in Lebanon? I am not sure if USA citizens are allowed to send coins to your country. Remember, research, ask questions, then buy the coin. Please tell us what coins you enjoy collecting. Would it be world coins no matter what denomination or country? Do you plan to collect complete sets of coins? Are you buying coins as an investment or as just a fun hobby? Also, remember there are persons on the coin forums that sell coins, and I am certain they will not treat you like the dealer in your area did. You need only to let us know what you need and some of us might be able to help at a much lower cost than the local 'thief' who calls himself a 'coin dealer'. Good luck with your collecting. jeankay
