Definitely worth it. But tickets are available early in morning for that day only. Get there early or tickets may all be gone.

I live too far and have too much happening to go but I would live the chance to do so. I’ve been to the Philadelphia mint twice and it’s a great tour. Love it both times.
If you get the chance, take the tour.

Yes definitely get there early for the tickets. I have missed out on tickets a few times, heading to the mint on a whim. I live here and haven't been yet.

We are traveling thru Denver this week on our quick trip to do some off-roading in Utah and Arizona. We realized the coin expo was also this week. Lucky us. We decided to extend for a day so we could go to the mint and expo.

Not that anyone is aware of...:jawdrop:...one interesting thing is that they were very interested in my cell phone & made me prove that it was a phone!?!?...& that was in the late '90's.

Yes, try to make it to the Denver Mint. I loved the tour - I hope it hasn't changed. When I went, a tour guide walked us through the entire place. And he did give everyone "free samples" in the form of blank planchets and a cent.

Fifty years ago I found it fascinating. Maybe it was the gold bars?

We went to the mint tour on Wednesday. They still give the cent and planchets. Tour guide was good about the history and answering questions. Just wished we had more time inside. Felt a little rushed. Would have like more time to read all the displays.
